Anglican Retirement Villages’ (ARV) has Marcus Loane House, a world-class facility for low-level care and dementia-specific care, within its new retirement community at Warriewood Brook on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Warriewood touches the sea on the east and bushland on the west. Via Mona Vale Road, it is an easy drive from Sydney’s North Shore and Northern Districts.
The facility was named in honour of the first Australian-born Archbishop of Sydney, Sir Marcus Loane (1911 – 2009) who was a long time resident of Sydney’s north and a member of St James Anglican Church, Turramurra.
Marcus Loane House features an innovative design for supported living. The 119 rooms are divided into clusters of 17 rooms to create small household communities - each of which includes living spaces, dining room, resident kitchen, laundry. recreation spaces and outdoor areas.
